Where I work it must be some sort of fly zone for crows because about 7 or 8 in the evening hundreds of them would fly through here, resting a bit on the telephone wires and after some time fly on. They are quiet intelligent to. One day my fellow worker came back after lunch and said one swooped down and hit him on the top of the head, for no apparent reason. Someone said maybe he was just having some fun. They can be brave if they are in a group to. Like someone else said earlier and I have seen them go after birds a lot bigger then them.

i have read through various posts where it has been said that some feel that jws are not the organisation or people of god.

therefore, has anyone after leaving the jws joined another religion?

What I have seen in other religions is same garabage, different pile but if one chooses to believe in fairy tales, thats up to them. Just don't force it on me. One can be spiritual without belonging to a religion.

Are Christians harmless?

first off....let me qualify something.

lets keep this to modern day christians in civilized lands.. many on this board are non-believers, and there are quite a number of christians.....so we have a mix.. non believers feel they need to speak out concerning what they have come to understand regarding the bibles authenticity to believers because they feel these ones need to at least see the sceptical side so they can make an honest choice.. believers feel they need to speak out to others concerning what they have come to understand about salvation.

here's the deal..............if believers can live a happy, good, healthy life, and take this to the grave with them..........should a non-believer try to mess all that up.....or leave well enough alone?.

I guess you answered my question. So you if you have a choice between one fellow that calls himself a Christian and another fellow that is a good person and treats other human beings with respect but isn't a Christian, who would you consider a better person? I have learned over the years to get past the religious, ethnic, sexual orientation labels and look at people as to how they treat me as an individual. Like I told this Christian friend of mine, if you claim to be a Christian than let God be the judge not you.

Belief and spirituality is a necessary component of human life and society, and purging religion from society is NOT the answer. It looked good in theory... but has NEVER worked in practice. Maybe only anarchy/terrorism could be proven to be worse (IMHO).

I think spirituality is a good thing but what has this got to do with religion? 99% of the so called Christians I know are a bunch of hypocrites. They do not even understand what it means to be Christian. They go to church on Sunday and put in a good show and Monday morning screw you on a business deal!!! Is that what it means to be Christian?? I had a friend that claimed to be a "charismatic Christian". She was trying to convert me, get me to go to her church. I respectfully said to her that I have my own idea of what God is. I don't hurt anyone and treat others with respect, as I would like to be treated. I would go out of my way to help anyone in trouble etc. But I don't claim, to be Christian. That is a label. I consider myself as being part of the human race first. This she says is not good enough. She said that I could be so much better if I would only except Jebus as my lord!!! So I will rot in hell because I didn't except Jebus as my Lord!!! While the f*ing hypocrite that screws me on a business deal goes to heaven?? Figure that out and now you know why I have no use for religion. Anyway I think she finally gave up on trying to save me...

I don't know if I speak for anyone else on the board but because of the way I was brought up I was also sociably backward especially with non JW people. It has taken years to get over it. I don't know if we ever do fully get over that insecure feelings of dubism. I have to say I am 100% better than I was say 20 years ago.
